He founded and served as Vice President of SawHorse, Inc., a design/build residential design firm for over 25 years. He is an NAHB Certified Trainer, serves on the Green Building Subcommittee and the Green Building Education Curriculum Committee of NAHB, NARI’s Green Remodeling Education Committee, and the Editorial Advisory Boards of Professional Remodeling and Atlanta Home Improvement magazines, and is a contributing editor for HGTVPro.com and Greenbuilder Magazine. He provides continuing education for the National Association of Home Builders and has spoken at dozens of industry conferences including Greenbuild Expo, the National Green Building Conference, GreenPrints, International Builder's Show, the Remodeling Show, Harvard University's Joint Center for Housing Studies, and Greening the Heartland.
